Kim Woo Bin drops out of 'Warm and Cozy' (formerly 'Jejudo Gatsby)

Munhwa Daily - Naver: Kim Woo Bin drops Hong Sisters' drama... Kang Sora stays

1. [+1440, -186] That's unfortunate. I looked forward to seeing him paired up with Kang Sora

2. [+1176, -136] That's too badㅠㅠ They were a fresh pair but anyway I hope they find her an awesome male lead ~~

3. [+167, -32] He's not really at that point yet where he receives favourable reviews for his acting.. He has some good scenes but he's still lacking.. He doesn't match with Kang Sora anyway so he made a good choice pulling out

4. [+150, -17] He and Kang Sora don't match. They both have that strong image

5. [+104, -32] Kim Woo Bin's acting never changes

6. [+81, -19] I recommend Gong Yoo

7. [+59, -6] I'm perfectly fine with his decision~

Uh yeah, Gong Yoo would run screaming from the Hong Sisters if they asked him. This is the second role KWB has turned down in a row... first pinocchio and now this.

I hope they will find another better male lead for kang sora.

There's some truth in this. In most of his dramas, he played that tough high school student. I wanna see Kang Sora with someone that has flowerboy features (ie. Song Joong Ki)

Kang sora match with any actor who act well so it's not a big problem. sadly, woobin, i wanna see them together

Hmmm~ I wonder who's going to be the male lead...

I hope they consider Kim Woo Bin's friends... (Sung Joon, Soo Hyuk, Young Kwang) lol. Ok I'm just tossing Soo Hyuk in because I want to see him back on dramaland. Hahaha.
Offer it to Song Joong Ki! Has he played as a chef/restaurateur before?

Why though? His reasoning?
His movie choices have been dismal after Freinds 2 tbh (Film wise Sidus HQ has been highly influencial in this ... unfortunately).

I would say Gong Yoo should just stick to Movies for a while but I miss him in dramas, and he's getting older, so the more mature he seems the less he'd suit roles of dramas made by the likes of the Hong sisters.

He did exactly one movie after Fuend 2 and that was a success, maybe wait for Twenty to come out before you write him off?

Not Gong Yoo please, he and Kang Sora match even less than KWB/KSR.

Song Joong Ki's going to be busy with Descendants of The Sun though. But yeah, I would like to see Sung Joon or Soo Hyuk in this (Young Kwang, not so much).

or can we have the 5 monsters in a film or drama again? we need to see them together again! 2 eps of style log is not enough!

I think he's pulling a Won Bin and just wait THE project before acting again for fear he might end up in a huge flop mess a la Gong Yoo's Big/Hyun Bin's HJM.

IDK why but I feel like they'll court Lee Jong Suk next. He's the kind of actor who love to do dramas after dramas w/o being much picky. And he won't go to the army anytime soon so he's the perfect bet.

Idk if he'd want to be the go to guy for KWB's rejected dramas though? Once was fine, but a second time... Supposedly KWB didn't reject this though.

Technicians was not necesserily a success and isn't Twenty out ? I swear I saw it on the box office ranking on Han cinema. I guess if your right it might be a pre-sales thing but is that counted on the same chart as those already running.

Anyways Twenty in its genre is not necesserily a movie that a. actor that needs to prove himself should choose. I consider these genres okay when an actor wants to relax a bit after a tough Or dark role. Hence my commentary on choice.

yes for white christmas vol. 2...

Twenty isn't released yet, the release date is 25 March. The box office rankings right now are only from pre release screening in a small number if theatres (3-12 theatres, looking at the info).

Technicians made over 2.5 million admissions which is almost double what most Korean movies need to break even and with no big name stars other than Kim Woo Bin as leading man. It's a success all right, even other movies released against Ode To My Father in December didn't do that well.

maybe he is tired

Argh.... BIG. I'm still see red thinking about that drama.LOL

Maybe Lee Jong Suk? (Yay,for the alternate lead from doctor stranger)
Song Joong ki is doing that movie after his discharge. Young Kwang has a drama with Sandara park.
Lee min ho? Its been a while seeing him in a Rom-com.Not since personal taste.

Woo Bin had a golf party just the day before with Hyun Bin, Joo Jin Mo, Jang Dong Gun ect.. I'm pretty sure that HB was like: "Man, don't take this role, look at me, if there are no script ready yet, run for your life, boy!" looooool and Joo Jin Mo be like: "I signed for a 50 episodes project and they threw away 15 episodes script were my character was written, run for your life boy"... And that's how the mess happened. :D I would bet on Ji Chang Wook for this one though...
