'Producer' is liveshooting?

Ilgan Sports - Naver: 'Producer' reps "Script for finale is in the process of completion... Currently filming for Episode 11"

1. [+5,804, -103]  The finale is on Saturday, how come the script is still not finished?.. This is just giving stress to the cast

2. [+4,574, -188] Ah~ Is this really the same writer who wrote YWCFTS? I'm disappointed. Grandma writer Kim Soo Hyun and Noh Hee Kyung complete their scripts in the early stages of their dramas.. The actors are probably stressed out right now..

3. [+576, -43] This isn't the writer Park Ji Eun I know.. How disappointing

4. [+457, -33] Must be hard for the cast. They're gonna stay out all night filming. Hwaiting. Cheer up

5. [+357, -31] Is it possible to film everything in 2 days?? The actors are gonna work their butts off.. Just have an extension

6. [+336, -25] It will be a live broadcast ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Nate

7. [+176, -41] They have big names like Kim Soo Hyun and Gong Hyo Jin as leads, tons of cameos at KBS and excessive media play but an overall disappointment considering the yet-to-be completed script with the finale creeping up

8. [+124, -8] So, it's a live broadcast after all

9. [+115, -43] How makjang!

10. [+18, -3] Twist: Ra Joon Mo♡ Baek Seung Chan

11. [+12, -4] Right now, they're probably monitoring which couple the majority of netizens ship. Poor quality compared to 'Misaeng'

The live shooting system is suck. Like Mask filmed the Thurday eps on Monday. This is just giving stress to the cast and the crew, eps the dramas have low rating

This isn't rare, is it not supposed to happen for Producer? I see some dramas finishing the episode the day it airs. Wonder if this drama will end in as many shipper tears as School

"Grandma writer Kim Soo Hyun and Noh Hee Kyung" Hahaha.

the script for the last ep was completed only a few hours ago so the cast and staff probably aren't gonna get any sleep these next few days.
my ideal ending: them all walking away as 4 bffls

ugh i hate stories that are not well prepared. Should've expected this when they made a poll on which couple the fans want to see the most, i mean, wtf?! i always believe that the writers know best for their characters. I hope they're just messing with us

mask got high tho

I remember there was this one drama where the editing was done live. They screwed up the episode. Fortunately it was not the finale.

Live shooting probably sucks for the actors but it's usually done for the audience. Writers plan so far a head but then they get asked to put in one thing or the public reacts to a specific thing and they have to change a whole bunch of things because one detail can change the whole story.

Does anybody know Steve Urkel from Family Matters? Some of you might not know but he's basically THE nerd. He was originally planned to be a one time character but the response to his character was so great that they changed the whole future direction of the show.

Whenever I read articles about KDrama live shootings, I remember the drama "King of Dramas." That drama really opened my mind on what's the reality behind Kdramas and all.

I thought most of the k dramas are live shooting.... like shoot while the drama is airing. But very few drama is to this extreme.... the drama end like 2 more days? Lol

the ep is 90-min long, it means that the writer needs to write 4 eps per week, instead of 2.

K-drama industry needs to change a lot of things.
1) less airtime (70 mins twice a week? No wonder there are so many fillers per episode)
2) start shooting months earlier and not a month before airing date
3) don't rely too much on viewers' opinion to influence the direction of the drama
4) scriptwriters should prepare scripts for half of the total episodes before going into production (seriously, My Love Eundong's scriptwriter prepared up until ep10 before they began filming. From what I've read so far, scriptwriters sometimes only had scenarios and not the actual script. You had one job)

I never really finished most Kdramas because you can see how haphazardly done it is. First 4 episodes, cinematography wow, actors looking alive, etc. Then everything starts falling apart in the middle and towards the end, the drama is just one hot mess.

Disrespectful to staff and cast. I can't imagine how tiring and stressful the upcoming days are going to be for them

I approve. Just don't give us a poopy ending like School 2015's. Still bitter af

Where's Anthony when you need him? He's the best

I'd rather choose jdoramas than kdramas, which are kinda boring lately.

Dani said...

I LOVE JDRAMAS! Definitely more well-made and the variety of genres is much appreciated.

sam said...

This is exactly why I can't watch any new drama for longer than one episode , the first episodes tend to be so high quality and rest all look bad!!!! I miss watching kdramas&#&#&#%#

I’m not sure I agree with that (though I do think they're better at pacing...for the most part). J-drama producers and scriptwriters are no better than their Korean counterparts when it comes to recycling concepts. :\ I’ve watched a fair share of j-dramas over the years, but I just can’t seem to grasp what makes them so much better than k-dramas.

Dani said...

I'm not saying one is better than the other. I just have a preference for Jdramas than Kdramas for the reasons mentioned above.

Kpopfan said...

I totally agree !!

disqus_qnJiwqFrtW said...

Yeah, I got that. I'm just disagreeing with you is all. :)

trufax said...

oh i thought i was the only one =/ jdramas are always praised no matter what but i cant get into them after watching a few

trufax said...

I wonder how do they have to edit the whole episode after its filmed..god, the stress

trufax said...

wow omg, that's hardcore

disqus_qnJiwqFrtW said...

Yeah, I’m thinking it’s because people have a preference for the Japanese language and culture because I really don’t see the “variety” and “better quality” that they speak of. :\\\\
